Academic Excellence Program
This program is now in it's fourth year. During the 2013 - 2014 school year we rewarded an average of 11 students during each 9-week reporting period. We're expecting continued success.
Requirements for 2014 - 2015 school year.
- The student must be on the honor roll with all "A's" or all "A's and 1 "B".
- Good conduct with no reported issues to the parent from the school or school bus driver.
- Report card must be submitted by the student to one of the AEP Committee members two weeks after report cards are distributed. No cards accepted from parents. The committee chairs will not call to ask a student to submit their report card. This requirement is teaching students responsibility.
AEP Committee members are: Valerie Davis, Lisa Jackson and LeShay Jackson.
Summer Reading Contest Winners!
We're pleased to announce the winners of our Summer Reading contest. Congratulations Garrion Council, Aliyah Jackson, Lana Martin and Justice Jones.
About The Contest: The students attending Jackson Middle and Jackson High School were required to read the book entitled, “The Pact: Three Young Men Make a Promise to Fulfill a Dream by Davis, Jenkins, Hunt and Page”, which is a true story. Each student was required to write an essay responding to the question: How do you achieve your goals when there are obstacles in your way?
Thank you to the sponsor of the contest that provided 2 Kindle Fires and $200 in cash. Worthy Medical Supply (Henry Worthy), Mr. & Mrs. Johnny Burrell, Jr. and Bridgette Burrell.

We can only achieve our goals with assistance of generous donations from members of our community (past and present) and friends.
We are in the planning stages of building a picnic pavilion and multi-purpose room on the site of the “Old School House”. The approximate cost of this project is $65,000 and we need your support to make this project a reality. No amount is too small or too large!
